Deborah Lynn Blessing

Deborah Lynn Blessing, 68, of New Cumberland, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 27, 2023 in UPMC Pinnacle Harrisburg Hospital surrounded by her family and friends.

Deb was a contractor with IBM Corporation, Mechanicsburg before retiring in 2013.  She was a member of the VFW Post 7415 Auxiliary and the American Legion Post 143, both of New Cumberland.  Deb loved going to the Outer Banks and Ocean City, MD to vacation with friends.  She was an outstanding baker who was well known for her cupcakes and cheesecakes.

Deb was born in Alexandria, VA, the daughter of the late Harold and Dolores (Easton) Weiler.

She is survived by her loving husband, Richard L. “Rick” Blessing; her daughter Jacquelyn Neal of Carlisle; two stepsons, Carson and Tyler Blessing; brothers, Drew Laughlin of Hilton Head, SC and Richard Weiler of Lee’s Summit, MO; and three grandchildren, Hanna, Collen and Kayla.

A memorial service will be held at 11 am on Friday, January 5, 2024 in Parthemore Funeral Home & Cremation Services, New Cumberland.  Visitation will be held one hour prior to service time Friday in the funeral home.
