Deborah (Kilroy) Miller

January 8, 1956 — March 12, 2020

Deborah (Kilroy) Miller, 64, of Fairview Township, passed away on Thursday, March 12, 2020, at UPMC Pinnacle West Shore, with her husband by her side. Daughter of the late Joseph and Phyllis (Bird) Kilroy of Kingsville, MD, she was born on January 8, 1956 in Needham, MA.

Deb was a dental assistant when she entered the workforce, but it didn’t take long for her to switch gears as her interests changed. She went on to graduate from Katharine Gibbs Business School, Boston, MA, and used her acquired secretarial skills to work for many years as the Executive Secretary for the President and CEO of Mellon Bank, Rockville, MD. She and her husband moved quite often throughout the years, traveling from Maryland, first to Michigan, back for a time to Maryland, to Florida, then Arizona, before finally settling in Pennsylvania. She was very sharp, and quick with a funny response during conversation. She enjoyed going shopping for her favorite Brighton Bags or searching for a singular piece of jewelry, but her true passions were for the life she had with her husband, and her career. Those privileged to know Deb firsthand experienced her vivacious personality, sense of humor and kind heart.

She is survived by her husband of 32 years, Terrence “Terry” Miller; two brothers, Stephen Kilroy and John Kilroy; a sister, Karen Kilroy; and a niece and nephew, Marie Kilroy and Joe Kilroy. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved older brother, Michael Kilroy.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
