Dennis Morales, 41, of Harrisburg, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, March 5, 2024 at his residence. He was the son of Teresa Ann Morales and the late Otilio Morales, born on New Year’s Day, 1983.
Dennis was a family man and an amazing father to his children. He had an easy-going personality, always looking out for his friends and family—especially his mother. The two shared a special relationship where they were each other’s rock in certain areas of life. He had a special talent for loving his siblings tremendously, while at the same time, annoying them to no end. Dennis had a lot of respect for his siblings, and Patrick in particular, doing what he could to make them proud. Naturally, he also loved being an uncle to his many nieces and nephews too.
Dennis was driven, spending stretches of his working career walking 10+ miles to and from work. Taking life’s challenges in stride, he had an infectious positive attitude that made him fun to be around. He was loyal and genuinely enjoyed working, making it a priority to leave a good impression wherever he was employed. Going on four years with Schaedler Yesco Distribution, Harrisburg, he was looking to move from shift lead to a newly formed position in the foreseeable future. Last year, Dennis bought his first car as well as his first home. He and his fiancée, Jennifer, had a loving relationship and big plans for the future. Things were really going his way.
He earned a barber’s license he didn’t end up utilizing as a career, and when he was younger, he was pretty solid on the pool table. He’ll be forever remembered for dancing the bachata, making the most delicious food for his family, and always rooting the hardest for those around him and their achievements. His favorite cartoon was Stitch and he was a big Blue’s Clues fan too; when he was younger, he played dominos and had memorable experiences horseback riding with his dad. He could have eaten rice, gandules and penir daily. Dennis also had a way of always surprising you.
In his own words, Dennis wisely said, “Give yourself a chance… we are all worth it.”
Dennis leaves behind his children, Isabella, Vanessa, Jae’Melo, Nicholas, and Xza’Diel Morales; his mother, Teresa (Greene) Morales; fiancée, Jennifer Ferguson; siblings, Patrick Morales and Jason Tierney, as well as Kenny, Willie and Stacey; nieces, Ariana Analia, Aleena, Ashlynne, Luna, Aniyah, Patience, Trinity, Destiny, Nicole and Samantha; nephews, Jason, Christopher, Gabriel, Patrick Jr. and Trinton; and the mother of his children, Melissa Morales. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a brother, Nicholas Morales (dcd. 2019).
A visitation with family will be held from 12PM until funeral services begin at 1PM on Friday, March 15, 2024 at Parthemore Funeral Home & Cremation Services, New Cumberland. Immediately following, a procession will depart for Rolling Green Cemetery, Camp Hill.
