Diane F. Mcdermott

Diane F. McDermott, 79, of New Cumberland, died Sunday, May 14, 2017, at her home.
She was a graduate of DePaul University and the Sweetheart of Alpha Chi; member of St. Theresa Catholic Church, New Cumberland. Born on November 1, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Hyland A. and Dorothy G. (Kirby) Nolan. Mrs. McDermott was the widow of Michael J. McDermott and was also preceded in death by two brothers, Howard Nolan and Dennis Nolan and a sister, Marcia Nolan.
Surviving are three sons, Michael J. (Leslie) of Millersville, Hyland A. of Lemoyne, Mark J. of Lemoyne; five daughters, Katherine A. McDermott (Thomas Hollingshead) of New Cumberland, Linda T. Balkovic (Jim) of Mechanicsburg, Diane F. Witman of Shippensburg, Irene M. Mikos (Wayne) of Dover, and Dorothy N. Horn (Rich) of Lemoyne; four brothers, Hyland Nolan, Jim Nolan, Terrance Nolan and Patrick Nolan; a sister, Dorothy Sprotskoff; nineteen grandchildren; five great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 AM on Thursday in St. Theresa Catholic Church, 1300 Bridge St., New Cumberland, with the Rev. Samuel I. Dubois as celebrant. Burial will be in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, East Hanover Twp.
Viewing will be held 9:00 – 10:00 AM Thursday at Parthemore Funeral Home and Cremation Services, New Cumberland.
