Donald J. Chapman

Donald Chapman, 89, of New Cumberland, Pennsylvania, passed away on August 19, 2024 at the Lebanon VA Hospital. He was born on August 3, 1935, in Highspire, PA to the late Benjamin and Gertrude (Cassel) Chapman. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy for over 20 years including two tours in Vietnam. He retired from the New Cumberland Army Depot and was a lifetime member of the VFW 7415, Legion 143, and DAV Chapter 50. 

He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Romayne (Ross) Chapman; one son, Mark Chapman; one daughter, Melanie Chapman; one stepson, Richard Fishel; two stepdaughters, Vickie Rhodes, and Debra (Earl) Goodhart; 4 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; 4 great great grandchildren; 3 step-great great-grandchildren; and one niece, Debbie Bryan. He is preceded in death in addition to his parents by a sister, Hilda Dengler; and two brothers, Howard and Richard Chapman.

A viewing will take place on Monday, August 26, 2024, at Parthemore Funeral Home from 11 AM-12 PM with a funeral to follow immediately after. Burial will take place at Rolling Green. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Eagle Heights Hospice, 1700 S. Lincoln Ave., Lebanon, PA 17042.
