Donald Eugene "Donnie" Davis

Donald Eugene Davis, 64, of Etters, died Sunday, October 9, 2022 at his home.

He was a retired Maintenance Mechanic from Defense Logistics Agency, New Cumberland. A 1977 graduate of Pennsylvania School for the Deaf in Philadelphia, he was a member of St. Theresa Parish, New Cumberland and a 3rd Degree Member of its Knights of Columbus Council 8921. He also enjoyed participating in Bible Study at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Mechanicsburg.

An avid Pittsburgh Steelers and Michigan football fan, he enjoyed playing softball at the Army Depot, riding his Harley Davidson, deer hunting and fishing. Although Donnie was deaf, he was very outgoing and made friends everywhere he went.

He was born September 10, 1958 in McAlisterville PA. He was preceded in death by his mother, Violet M. (Hockenbrough) Davis.

He is survived by his wife, Sally Ann (Moore) Davis; father, Raymond L. Davis of Middletown; daughters, Gina Marie Davis of Camp Hill and Michelle Jane Ickes (Ryan) of Waynesboro; sister, Kathie Gerrity (Bob) of Waldorf, MD; four grandchildren, Cali Wintermyer, Hunter Ickes, Gabriel and Rafael Santana; and several nieces and nephews.

Viewings will be from 6 to 8pm Sunday with a scripture service at 7:30pm and 9:30 to 10:30am Monday at Parthemore Funeral Home, New Cumberland. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Reverend Thomas J. Rozman at 11am Monday in St. Theresa Catholic Church, New Cumberland. Committal will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Upper Allen Twp.
