Donald L. Farber, 71, entered into eternal rest July 15, 2014 at home.
Donald was born July 4, 1943 in Altoona, PA to the late Donald C. and Alice (Bragonier) Farber. Donald has three sisters and three brothers.
Donald served four years in the Navy during the Cuban Missile Crisis on the USS Monrovia, APA-31 as a cook. He worked for the railroad as a conductor for Amtrak and retired after thirty years of service. He also worked for the BJ’s Wholesale Club Demo Team with his boss Joanie and twelve other ladies who were wonderful to him.
Donald and his wife Joyce Ann (Lostaglia) Farber celebrated forty six years of married life on April 27, 2014. They have a daughter Michelle and a son Scott and his wife Becky, all who live in New Cumberland. He had many wonderful friends and enjoyed playing cards with the guys.
A memorial service will be held on Monday evening, July 21, 2014 at 6:30 pm in Parthemore Funeral Home & Cremation Services, New Cumberland. Visitation with the family will be one hour prior to service time. Inurnment with military honors will be on Tuesday at 3 pm in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, East Hanover Twp.
In lieu of flowers, the Farber family respectfully requests monetary contributions to offset Donald’s medical expenses incurred during his illness. These contributions may be made out to Joyce Ann Farber and brought to the service or they can be made out to Joyce and mailed c/o Parthemore Funeral Home, P.O. Box 431 New Cumberland, PA 17070.
