Donald John Logan, CPA, of Mechanicsburg, PA, passed away on April 3, 2025, at the age of 71.
Born on June 25, 1953, he was the son of the late George and Virginia (Shuler) Logan. He was preceded in death by his sister, Laura (Logan) Gorecki.
Don is survived by his beloved wife, Connie (Meyer) Logan; his sisters, Sandra (Logan) Bell and her husband Donald and Elizabeth (Logan) Rothermel and her husband Greg,; his stepdaughters, Gretta Slossberg and Shana (Slossberg) Amsterdam and her husband Joe; his cherished grandchildren, Alivia, Mo, and Skyler; as well as many beloved nieces and nephews who brought him great joy.
Don grew up in Camp Hill, PA, and graduated from Camp Hill High School in 1971. He worked his way through college at Penn State Harrisburg, earning a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in 1982.
A dedicated and respected accountant, Don began his career with Seligman, Friedman & Co., where he worked for 20 years. In 2005, he took a leap of faith and established his own accounting firm, which he successfully operated until merging with Robert Morris Company of Wormleysburg two years ago. He retired in October 2024, leaving behind a legacy of professionalism and integrity.
Outside of work, Don was an avid outdoorsman who found joy in hunting, fishing, and traveling to pursue his passion. His adventures took him across North America, from Quebec to Texas, Colorado, Wyoming, North Carolina, and beyond. He was a proud member of the Catlin Hollow Hunting Camp in Wellsboro, PA.
He also had a deep love for the beach and treasured family vacations in Stone Harbor, NJ. At home, he adored his cats, Mia and Misty, who were constant companions.
Don was known for his intelligence, quick wit, and quirky sense of humor. He could light up any room with his bizarre jokes and was a master of the phantom tap on the shoulder.
He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. Interment will be in Rolling Green Cemetery, Camp Hill. A Celebration of Don's life will be held on May 4th from 2 to 4pm at Talking Breads, 1619 West Lisburn Rd., Mechanicsburg, PA 17055. All friends and family are invited to attend.
