Donald M. Knadler

Donald M. Knadler, 91 of The Woods at Cedar Run, Camp Hill and formerly of Highland Park, passed away peacefully with his family at his side on Tuesday October 25, 2016 in his residence.

A Navy veteran of WWII and Korea, he was a retired electrical engineer for the former Navy Ship Parts Control Center, Mechanicsburg; a member of Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church, Camp Hill where he served as captain of his usher team; a lifetime member of Lower Allen VFW Post 7530 where he served with its Military Honor Guard and was past treasurer of its pool team; an avid Penn State fan; and a member of the Mechanicsburg Club.

Don was born September 3, 1925 in Bethlehem, PA to the late Leroy and Florence (Frick) Knadler. He was the recent widow of his wife of more than sixty-seven years, Laura Joan (Leader) Knadler and was preceded in death by a sister Louise Hartman and a son in law Robert A. Danner.

He is survived by four daughters, Donna K. Anderson and husband Stan of Lancaster, Laurie K. Radabaugh and husband Scott of Shiremanstown, Joanna L. K. Danner of Etters, and Patricia K. Erickson and husband Bradley of McAllisterville; eleven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 11am until funeral services at noon on Friday, October 28, 2016 in Parthemore Funeral Home & Cremation Services, New Cumberland with the Rev. Virginia J. Cover, his Pastor officiating. Burial with military honors will follow in Rolling Green Cemetery, Lower Allen Twp.
