Donald Roy Winter

Donald Roy Winter, 79, of Olmsted Twp., OH, and formerly of New Cumberland, PA, died Tuesday, December 15th, 2015, at Riverview Pointe Care Center, Olmsted Falls, OH.
He retired as a Computer Aided Drafting Specialist for the former Dewberry Goodkind, Inc., Carlisle, and was former member of the New Cumberland Police Department. Don was a member of the Air National Guard for 38 years; was a life member of New Cumberland Fire Department; the American Legion, Post 143, New Cumberland; and was a past member of St. Theresa Catholic Church, and the Riverview Golf Club, both of New Cumberland. He formerly coached New Cumberland Midget and Teener Baseball for several years and also basketball at St Theresa's Elementary School, New Cumberland. Born on September 10th, 1936, in Lemoyne, PA, he was the son of the late Gilbert and Edith (Miller) Winter. Don was the widow of Arlene F. (Flaynik) Winter.
Surviving are two sons, Gilbert A. Winter (Donna) of Olmsted Twp., OH, and Kevin P. Winter (Candace) of York; his twin brother, Ronald M. Winter of New Cumberland; three sisters, Barbara A. Patterson of Hershey, Joline E. Tucker of Camp Hill, and Kaye E. Stewart of New Cumberland; four grandsons, Andrew D., Anthony J., Alex J. and Matthew B.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 AM on Monday in St. Theresa Catholic Church, New Cumberland, with the Rev. Michael McFadden as Celebrant. Burial will be in Rolling Green Memorial Park, Lower Allen Twp.
Viewing will be held from 2 – 4 PM on Sunday at Parthemore Funeral Home and Cremation Services, New Cumberland.
