Donald E. Waltermyer

Donald E. Waltermyer, 77, of Etters, passed away on Tuesday, December 10, 2024. He was the son of the late Claud W. and Grace L. (Miller) Waltermyer, born on April 24, 1947, in York. 

Don was a graduate of William Penn Senior High School, York, and would go on to serve his country for more than a decade in the U.S. Army. He served in the military for more than a decade, with his service taking him to Vietnam during the war. Don would work and ultimately retire from the former New Cumberland Army Depot. He had a quick sense of humor and an easy-going demeanor. He and his late wife enjoyed going to the beach and spending time together. 

Surviving is his sister, Judith Barlup (Earl) of Camp Hill; his nephews, Bradley Bruce (Tammy) of Wormleysburg and Brian Bruce of Etters; great-nieces and nephews, and several cousins. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Rebecca (Simmons) Waltermyer; and a niece, Renée Louise Bruce. 

A graveside service will be held at 11:30AM on Friday, December 20, 2024 at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Lebanon.
