Donna A. Mowery

Donna A. Mowery, 88, entered the presence of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on September 2, 2023, at her home in Camp Hill.

Born October 4, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Paul and Pauline Adams. Donna was an extraordinarily strong person, who weathered many physical storms in her life. To the very end, she continued to teach us how to be strong and faithful, letting go and running into her Lord’s arms where there is no more pain or suffering. 

After graduating from Lemoyne High School Class of 1952, Donna worked as a secretary for several years but devoted the majority of her life to her husband and children as a true homemaker. She was an excellent cook and loved to have her whole family around the table at holidays where many wonderful memories were made. 

She is survived by her husband of 68 years and the love of her life, Dr. Samuel Mowery. Also surviving are her children, Jennifer Stambaugh (Craig) of Little Egg Harbor, New Jersey, Pamela Mowery (Alicia) of York, PA, Scott Mowery (Lisa) of Etters, PA, and Samuel Mowery (Jessica) of Alexandria, VA. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Grant (Michaelina), Benjamin (Lorissa), Luke (Ashley), Alexander, Samuel, Joseph, Carys, Ryan, and Keira. She also has three great-grandchildren, Cecilia, Elaina and Benjamin.  A brother and his wife also survive her, as do nephews, a niece, and many faithful friends. 

A memorial service will be held at 2 pm on Friday, September 8, 2023 in Parthemore Funeral Home & Cremation Services, New Cumberland.  Visitation with the family will be from 12:30 pm until time of service.  Burial will be in Rolling Green Cemetery, Lower Allen Twp.
