Doris Belle Bowers

Doris Belle Bowers, 95, of York Haven, died Monday, September 4, 2017 at her home.

She was a retired secretary from the former Dominic Traino Insurance Agency, Harrisburg and also worked for the former AMP, Inc. She was a member of St. Theresa Parish, New Cumberland and previously an active member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Shrewsbury.

She was born January 12, 1922 in Harrisburg to the late Donald and Alice (Thompson) Nace. She was the widow of Edward Charles Bowers.

She is survived by two sons, Barry D. Coder (Gayle) of Lewisberry and Edward M. Bowers of York Haven; a daughter, Sharon K. Vugrinec (Steve) of York Haven; five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.

Viewing will be from 9:30 until 10:30 at Parthemore Funeral Home, New Cumberland followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 11am Friday at St. Theresa Catholic Church, New Cumberland. Burial will follow in Shoops Cemetery Garden of Rest (Annex), Lower Paxton Twp.
