Doris M. (Laudermilch) Barneycastle

Doris M. Barneycastle, 94, of Enola, passed away on September 9, 2019, at Claremont Nursing Home & Rehabilitation Center, Carlisle. Daughter of the late Chester and Helen (Wire) Laudermilch, she was born on March 6, 1925 in Harrisburg.

Doris was a homemaker for most of her life, staying at home to support her family. She will be missed for many reasons, but especially for her famous whoopie pies. She was a long-time member of St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, Enola.

She is survived by her granddaughter, Lisa Barneycastle (Kimbra Fisher) of Mechanicsburg; two sisters, Lois Myers of Enola, and Helen “Betty” Winter (Ron) of New Cumberland; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Theodore D. Barneycastle; her son, Theodore D. Barneycastle, Jr.; and a sister and brother, Evelyn Campbell and Robert Laudermilch.

A graveside service will be held at 11AM on Monday, September 16, 2019, at Rolling Green Cemetery, Camp Hill.
