Dorothea J. "Dot" Ford

Dorothea J. “Dot” Ford, 81, of Harrisburg, passed away on Saturday, October 1, 2022 in Colonial Park Care Center, Harrisburg.

She was a retired cook with Our Place Restaurant, Baltimore, MD and a former sales associate with the former Montgomery Ward, Glen Burnie, MD. Dorothea was a member of AARP and enjoyed cooking, painting, ceramics, feeding the squirrels and ducks and found great pleasure at the seashore and boardwalk of Ocean City, MD.

Dorothea was born in Baltimore, MD, the daughter of the late Adam and Caroline (Ballman) Quick. In addition to her parents, she was the widow of Thomas G. “Jerry” Ford, Sr. and was preceded in death by her sisters, Catherine, Eleanor and Carol.

She is survived by her daughter Patricia A. Sowers of Lebanon; step children, Lonnie Warfield of Ellicott City, MD and Thomas Ford, Jr. of Baltimore, MD; and many nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held at 10:30 am on Friday, October 7, 2022 in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, East Hanover Twp., PA.
