Dorothy Wentzel Gault, 97, peacefully entered into eternal rest on Thursday, May 10, 2018 in Mechanicsburg. The family is proud of the strong life that Dorothy lived and the life lessons and values she taught.
Dorothy was born in 1920 in Landisburg, PA to the late George A. and Fannie A. (Shearer) Wentzel. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edwin R. Gault, Jr., her daughter, Patricia A. Gerasinovich and her brother, David H. Wentzel.
As a graduate of Landisburg High School and Central Pennsylvania Business College, Dottie moved to Lewes, DE and worked as a secretary during World War II. After the war, she moved to the Harrisburg area and took a job at WHP/Channel 21 where she met her future husband, Ed. His career took them to Philadelphia for a few years before they moved back to Camp Hill to raise a family.
Dorothy was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Camp Hill, the Order of the Eastern Star, Steadfast Chapter #479 and the former Rockville Bridge Chapter of the American Business Women Association. She loved reading the newspaper, crossword puzzles, beach adventures, Lake Meade gatherings, and most importantly, taking care of her family.
Surviving are her daughter, Barbara Louise Huff and her husband Rick of Mechanicsburg, son-in-law Steve Gerasinovich of Hummelstown, her grandchildren, Megan Yarnell and her husband Ryan of Lebanon, Colin Huff of New Cumberland, Tyler Gerasinovich of Hummelstown, and A.D. Huff of Pittsburgh and great grandson David Yarnell.
A memorial service will be held at 11:30AM on Monday, May 14, 2018 at Parthemore Funeral Home & Cremation Services, New Cumberland. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service in the funeral home. A private interment will take place in Rolling Green Cemetery, Lower Allen Township.
