Dorothy L. Witherow

Dorothy L. “Dottie” Witherow, 92, of Golden Living Center, West Shore died Monday, February 9, 2015 at the Center.
She was a retired employee from the former Cameron Dress Company, Harrisburg. She was a member for over fifty years of Trinity United Methodist Church, New Cumberland and also West Shore Senior Citizen Center, Keystone Doll Club, New Cumberland Golden Age Club, and Ladies International Garment Workers Union.
She was born February 15, 1922 in New Cumberland to the late Richard and Ruth (Schell) Myers. She was raised by her late grandparents, Ira K. and Mary Schell. She was also preceded in death by her ex-husband, Clarence D. Witherow; sister Gladys M. Shearer (William S.); son-in-law, Charles N. Best; nephew, Richard W. Shearer; and aunt, Sarah Souders.
She is survived by her daughter Nancy L. Best also of Golden Living Center; niece, Saundra L. Gotwalt; friends of many years, Will Sauer of Bainbridge and John W. Clendenien of Mechanicsburg; and others.
Visitation will be at 10am followed by Funeral Services at 11am Tuesday at Parthemore Funeral Home, New Cumberland. Burial will follow in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Fairview Twp.
