Dorothy M. Morrette, 92, of Fairview Twp., Etters, died Sunday, February 19, 2017, at her home.
She retired as the Manager of the Savings Dept. at the former CCNB Bank, New Cumberland; a member of Fishing Creek Salem United Methodist Church and its United Methodist Women and Women of Light.
She was a graduate of John Harris High in 1942. She spent her life creating, crafting, and devoting her time to help others. She also enjoyed traveling with her late husband and other family members.
Born on September 15, 1924, in Harrisburg, she was the daughter of the late William A. and Mary E. (Foesel) Lehr. She was the widow of Paul A. Morrette and was also preceded in death by a son-in-law, Nicholas J. Pelen, and several brothers and sisters. She was survived by her two daughters, Judy A. Dove (Allen L. Dove) and Jeannie L. Pelen, four grandchildren, Amy L. Hill (Nate Hill), Greg A. Dove (Buu Lam), Cassandra Pelen, Krista Pelen (Aron Rychlik), and one great-grandson, Caleb A. Dove.
Visitation and luncheon with the family will be held at Fishing Creek Salem United Methodist Church from noon until 1 PM on Wednesday with a funeral service at 1:30 PM with the Rev. Dr. Deborah J. Heisley-Cato officiating. Burial will be in Rolling Green Memorial Park, Lower Allen Twp.
