Dorothy M. (Spicher) Hess

Dorothy M. Hess, 95, formerly of Lower Allen Twp., Camp Hill and Portage, PA passed away on October 11, 2017 in Capital Caring, Arlington, VA.

Dorothy was born in Indiana, PA, the daughter of the late Sheldon and Effie Spicher, formerly of Portland, OR.

She retired as an Assistant Librarian from Cedar Cliff High School, Camp Hill.

In addition to her parents, Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband of 73 years, James W. Hess and two daughters, Lauri J. Beyer and Cynthia A. Minge.

She is survived by her sons, Gerald L. Hess and wife Sheryl of Harrisburg and Thomas J. Hess and wife Beverly of Baton Rouge, LA; her daughter Lori J. Farro and husband Rick of Springfield, VA; a brother Robert M. Spicher of Highland Haven, TX; eleven grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren.

A private interment will be held in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, East Hanover Twp., PA.
