Dorothy P. Shaffer

Dorothy P. Shaffer, 87, previously of Dover died Saturday, August 17, 2019 at Claremont Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Carlisle.

An artist, she enjoyed painting, riding horses with her husband, playing the organ, and the Red Hat Society.

She was born April 19, 1932 in Roseville, OH to the late Clifford Peterson and Pauline Blaney. She was the widow of William R. Shaffer.

She is survived by two sons, Michael P. Shaffer (Kay) of Etters and Randy R. Shaffer (Deb) of New Cumberland; two daughters, Kathy S. Daniel (Robert) of Altus, OK and Billene A. Sherbocker (Richard) of New Cumberland; six grandchildren; and eleven great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held at the convenience of the family at Emanuel Cemetery, Fairview Twp.
