Edmund G. Clingan, 89, formerly of Dover, passed away on Thursday, October 17, 2024. He was the son of the late Roy Clingan and Mary Jo (Harlacher) Fishburn, born on February 21, 1935, in Harrisburg.
He was a 1954 graduate of the former New Cumberland High School and spent his entire working career as a truck driver. He would ultimately retire from ABF Freight in the mid-1990s. Ed was a member of the York County Racing Club and the Teamsters Local 776; he also followed racing and Penn State football. He enjoyed spending time with his family and especially cherished the time spent with his boys, knocking out different home improvement projects together over the years.
Surviving are his sons, Craig Clingan (Kelli) of Dover and Darin Clingan (Nicole) of Lewisberry; grandchildren, Kurt (Jennifer), Cody, Cameron, and Korey Clingan; and great-grandchildren, Beau and Lucas Clingan. He also leaves behind two sisters, Charlene Badman and Wendy Keim. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife, Darlene (Dickman) Clingan; a son, Edmund Clingan; and great-granddaughter, Amelia Clingan.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, October 26, 2024, at Parthemore Funeral Home & Cremation Services, New Cumberland, from 10:30AM until a memorial service begins at 11:30AM. Interment will immediately follow in Tri-County Memorial Gardens, Lewisberry.
