Edna Joan Miller Walker, age 78, of Lebanon, PA passed away peacefully on December 11, 2016 at her residence in Lebanon, PA. She was the beloved wife and best friend of Richard “Dick” Walker for the past 54 years.
Born in Philadelphia, PA on July 11, 1938, she was the daughter of the late Elmer Michael and Katherine Miller nee Sauer. She continued to live and work in the Philadelphia area for most of her life except for five years she spent in New Fairfield, Connecticut and her final ten years in Lebanon, PA. She lived her life happily and selflessly devoted to her husband, children, and grandchildren who will miss her greatly. She considered her children and grandchildren to be her greatest legacy.
Surviving are her husband Richard, and children: Monica Green (Christopher) of Lewisberry, PA and Mark Walker (Marisela) of Houston, TX; her sister Margaret “Peggy” Wiest of Sun City, FL; her brother Joseph Miller of Philadelphia, PA; her five grandchildren: Amanda Foody, Ryan Foody, Zachary Walker, Alexandra Green, and Ava Walker; as well as her many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother Robert Miller.
Her life will be celebrated privately by her immediate family on Friday, December 16th at Parthemore Funeral Home in New Cumberland, and she will be laid to rest in Rolling Green Cemetery, Camp Hill.
