Ed “Pops” Bricker of New Cumberland PA was welcomed into eternal life with God on Saturday, January 20, 2018 in his 75th year, lovingly surrounded by his family.
Ed was born in Harrisburg, PA on November 22nd, 1942. He was preceded in death by his father Marlin Bricker Sr. and his mother Virginia Bricker (nee Straw)
Ed is survived by his wife of 56 wonderful years, Kay M. Bricker (nee O’Shura), his two brothers Marlin Bricker Jr. (Eleanor) and John Bricker (Karen). His children, Jody Nazzaro (Michael) and Karen Zvorsky.
Ed was blessed with 7 grandchildren, Ashlee Krall (David), Gina Nazzaro Yetter (Michael), Carissa Nazzaro, Elliott Keys, Trae Keys, Caleb Keys and Anya Zvorsky.
He also had 5 great grandchildren, Ella Keys, Addison Krall, Valerie Elliot, Traycen Hawthorne and Melanie Elliot.
Ed was a proud retiree of Gannett Fleming, Inc. where he worked for 42 years as a Surveyor, Draftsman and Engineering Technician. He was a gun enthusiast and also liked antique cars, old westerns and war movies. But his real passion was his family and spending as much time as possible with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. One of his favorite events was the annual Gannett Fleming picnic at Hershey Park. The pure joy he would get from seeing the happiness in first his children, then grandchildren and in most recent years his great grandchildren.
Pops’ kind spirit, gentle soul and selflessness was immeasurable. He was the patriarch of the family and outstanding role model who left us a template to which we all should strive to live by.
Viewing to be held from 10:00 am to 11:00 am followed by services at Parthemore Funeral Home 1303 Bridge Street, New Cumberland, PA 17070 on Saturday, January 27, 2018.
