Edward J. Bublinec, 88, passed away August 20, 2019, at the Veteran’s Administration Medical Center, Lebanon, PA. Son of the late Stephen and Helen (Kutney) Bublinec, he was born May 31, 1931, in Natrona Heights, PA.
Edward was born and raised in Western Pennsylvania and went on to serve our country in the United States Army during the Korean War. He was a truck driver by trade, retiring from Scrivner’s Transportation, York. After retiring, he enjoyed wood-working and making crafts. He will be missed by many, especially his significant other of many years, Ada Houck of Mechanicsburg.
Edward is survived by his daughters, Marilyn Strock of Carlisle, Melinda “Mindy” Frejkowski (Raymond) of Circleville, OH, and Darby Pellish (Kerry) of New Cumberland; sons, Mark and Michael Bublinec, both of Carlisle; grandchildren, Joseph and Seth Frejkowski, Daniel Goodwin, Adam Strock, Michael E. Bublinec, Jamie Triplett, Mark J. Bublinec, Lance Brennan, and Kerry and Bryant Pellish; and several great-grandchildren. Also surviving is his brother, Frank Bublinec of Parma, OH; sisters, Elsie Hamady of Windber, and Bernadine Valenti of Smethport; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers, Joseph, Stephen, Bernard and Michael; and two sisters, Helen Salyan and Mary Ann Pallone.
A public viewing will be held from 5-7PM on Sunday, August 25, 2019, at Parthemore Funeral Home & Cremation Services, New Cumberland. The following day, August 26, a Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 12:30PM at St. Theresa Catholic Church, New Cumberland. Immediately following mass, a burial will take place in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville.
