Edward K. Henry, 66, of Etters, formerly of Boca Raton, FL died Wednesday, January 8, 2020, at VibraLife Assisted Living Facility, Mechanicsburg, surrounded by his family and lifetime friends.
He worked in sales for City Furniture, previously known as Water Bed City for over forty years. He graduated from Cedar Cliff High School in 1971 and Penn State University in 1976. He was an avid Penn State and Boston Celtics fan.
He was born February 18, 1953 in Harrisburg to the late Robert and Diane (Costello) Henry.
He is survived by two daughters, Elizabeth and Alexandra Henry, both of Boca Raton, FL; a brother, Theodore of Florida; an uncle and aunt, Eugene and Joan Costello, of Etters; an aunt, Betty (Costello) Lindquist, of Mechanicsburg; and cousins, Kathleen Watts, Timothy Costello and Patricia Costello, all of Etters. Additionally, he is survived by his friends and life brothers: “The Groundhogs.”
Ed always looked forward to the annual Appalachian Trail hikes with The Groundhogs. He had the most supportive group of lifetime friends anyone would dream to have.
Visitation will be from 2PM until memorial services at 3:30PM on January 24th at Parthemore Funeral Home, New Cumberland. Services will be officiated by Rev. Betty Norford. Private interment will be held at the convenience of the family.
