Edward W. Campbell, 94, of York Haven, passed away Thursday, April 2, 2015 in Golden Living West Shore, East Pennsboro Twp.
He was a retired Assistant Chief of Law Enforcement for the PA Game Commission and a WWII Navy veteran. He was a member of St. Theresa Catholic Church, New Cumberland, the U.S.S. Colorado Alumni Society and the Retired Game Commission Employees Association.
Mr. Campbell was born in Latrobe, PA to the late William Edward and Florinda Hannah (Hawk) Campbell. In addition to his parents he was the widower of Barbara J. (Taylor) Campbell to whom he was married for sixty nine years and was preceded in death by a daughter Catherine C. Leff and three grandchildren, Andrew, Theresa and Michael.
He is survived by his sons, Lawrence R. of Lewisberry and Thomas E. of York Haven; four grandchildren, Khristiana, Patricia, Hannah and Heath; and ten great grandchildren, Kaleb, Logan, Donovan, Javier, Sebastian, Ella, Luke, Zachary, Abigail and Gavin.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 am on Tuesday, April 7, 2015 in his church, 1300 Bridge St. New Cumberland, with the Rev. S.T. Antony Raja as Celebrant. Viewing will be from 9:30 – 10:30 am Tuesday in Parthemore Funeral Home & Cremation Services, New Cumberland. Burial with military honors will be in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, East Hanover Twp.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests memorial contributions be made in Mr. Campbell’s memory to Disabled American Veterans, 4219 Trindle Road Camp Hill, PA 17011.
