Edwin L. Barber

Edwin L. Barber, 78, of Mechanicsburg died Thursday, October 17, 2013 at his home.
A Marine Corp Veteran of the Korean War, he was a retired Supply Systems Analyst from the US Government Printing Office. He was a member of Greater Washington Softball Umpire Assn. and West Shore Evangelical Free Church, Mechanicsburg.
He was born June 19, 1935 in Washington, D.C. to the late Nevin and Katherine (DeBethizy) Barber.
He is survived by his wife, Virginia (Ginny) Doyle Barber; two sons, Andrew L. (Angela) of Belpre, OH and Nevin L. (Christine) of Welcome, MD; four step-children, Geraldine Engel of Brooklyn, NY, Linda Payne of Cobb Island, MD, Christi Engel of Topanga, CA and Anthony Engel, Jr. of Ingleside, MD; a sister, Lois Jean Yorty of Schuylkill Haven, PA; two grandchildren, Shane and Brooke of Welcome, MD; and six step-grandchildren.
Memorial services will be held at the convenience of the family.
