Edythe B. Thomas

Edythe (Bolbecher) Thomas, 76, of Etters, passed away on Friday, December 15, 2023 in Yorkview Nursing Home, York, PA.

She was a retired truck driver and trainer with the former Carlisle Carrier, Carlisle, PA.  During her many years of training many drivers, nothing brought her more joy and satisfaction than training her son Ross how to drive truck. 

Edythe loved doing all kinds of word puzzles, but her favorites to solve were Sudoku and anagrams.  She loved animals - especially her dog Tasha; she loved to fish and participate in shooting competitions; and she was a talented artist – much better than she ever gave herself credit for.

Edythe was born in Harrisburg, PA, the daughter of the late Christian and Jean (Ross) Bolbecher.

She is survived by her husband of more than 52 years, Roger S. Thomas; her daughter Kriston McMichael (Robert) of Cranberry Twp., PA; her son Ross Thomas (Shawna) of Harrisburg; her six grandchildren; and a great grandson.

A funeral service will be held at 11 am on Thursday, December 21, 2023 in Parthemore Funeral Home & Cremation Services, New Cumberland, PA.  A viewing will be held from 10-11 am Thursday in the funeral home.  Burial will be in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, East Hanover Twp., PA.
