Elaine Marie Fleegal

Elaine Marie Fleegal, 80 of Camp Hill died Sunday, September 1, 2024 at her home.

Elaine earned her bachelor’s degree in Speech Pathology Audiology at Emerson College, Boston MA in 1966 and her Masters of Education Speech Pathology at Penn State University in 1967.

Elaine was a Speech Therapist certified by PA Department of Education for 30 years. She worked at many places in the Dauphin and Cumberland County areas: Villa Teresa, Messiah Village, and HCR Manor Care. She always enjoyed helping others and teaching young trainees helping them to get their certifications.

She was a devoted Roman Catholic member of St. Theresa of the Infant Jesus Parish in New Cumberland where she served as a Eucharistic Minister and Lector. She volunteered at the Adoration Chapel and helped clean the church. She was also involved in St. Theresa’s Little Flower Club, Den Mother of Cub Scouts and CCD teacher.

Her hobbies included sewing, knitting, making flower arrangements, going on cruises, and instructing the Deep Well Class at West Shore YMCA for over twenty years.

She was also a member of the Red Hat Society. She was a keynote speaker for NRTO and Vice President of Programs for Speech with PCASHA.

She was born September 12, 1943 in Providence, RI to the late Alfred and Anna (Brennan) Vest.

She is survived by her husband, Richard to whom she was happily married for fifty-four years; children, Kenneth T. Fleegal (Andrea) of Dover, Alan Robert Fleegal of Harrisburg, Michael J. Fleegal of Lemoyne, and daughter, Juliann Marie Fleegal of Enola; grandchildren, Bradley and Alyssa; great-grandchildren, Makenna, Asher, Rosalie, and Caleb; brother, Dr. Thomas Vest (Jean) of Sarasota, FL; nephew, Dr. Michael Vest (Marianne); and niece, Ann Marie Shattuck (James)

Viewings will be from 5-7pm Thursday with Recitation of the Rosary at 6:30pm and from 9:30 to 10:30am Friday, September 6th at Parthemore Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11am at St. Theresa Parish, 1300 Bridge St., New Cumberland. Committal will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Upper Allen Twp.
