Elaine Marie Williams, 57, formerly of Chase and Etters, passed away on Thursday, February 3, 2022 at her residence in Enola. She was the daughter of the late Joseph and M. Joan (Shea) Cigarski, born on June 23, 1964 in Kingston.
Growing up in Luzerne County, Elaine was a 1982 graduate of Lake-Lehman High School; she would then obtain an associate’s degree from LCCC in 1984. That same year, she married her husband, Larry, and the two moved to Etters to start a family. Elaine was currently employed with Select Medical, Mechanicsburg, working for more than ten years as a patient account representative. Knitting was a talent of hers, making scarves, hats, blankets, Christmas stockings – you name it. And if you kept a careful eye on Elaine, you may have seen her sneak a sweet or two, or hide one for later. She enjoyed her work, loved her family, and always maintained a positive outlook on life.
Surviving Elaine is her husband of 37 years, Larry Dean Williams; daughters, Emily I. Williams (and her significant other, or “mom’s favorite son-in-law,” Darrin Shimer) of New Cumberland, and Caroline G. Williams of Alexandria, VA; a twin sister, Eileen T. Cigarski of Shavertown; and an honorary sister, Babette Ell of Plains; and a niece and two nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her older sister, Carol Cigarski.
Services will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation in Elaine’s name to The Johns Hopkins Kimmel Cancer Center, PO Box 49143, Baltimore, MD, 21297-9143.
