Elaine Vogel

Elaine Vogel (Carolyn Elaine Vogel), died peacefully on September 22, 2024, at home surrounded by her loving family.

Elaine was born in Pittsburgh, PA, on June 1, 1942. She graduated from Allderdice High School and West Penn School of Radiology. She was predeceased by her husband, Ronald W. Vogel; parents, Harry and Hilda (Brickner) Boeltz; and a sister, Beth Meixner.

She is survived by her children, Amy Raugh (Christopher) and Mark Vogel (Karen); granddaughters, Haley and Grace (Matt); and great-nephew, Grant Arrigo, USN; along with many more nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews.

Elaine was a member of Fishing Creek Salem United Methodist Church, and she enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. She loved her dogs, Hudson and Molly, and her granddog, Theo.

Services will be held on Saturday, September 28, 2024, at Fishing Creek Salem United Methodist Church, 402 Valley Road, Etters, PA, with a 9:30-10:45AM viewing and 11AM funeral service. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family in Jefferson Memorial Cemetery, Pittsburgh, where she will be laid to rest alongside her husband.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to “Salem Shares Food Bank” at her church. She and her husband were lifelong advocates of helping those in need.
