Eleanor S. Pellman

Eleanor S. Pellman, 86, of Mechanicsburg, formerly of New Cumberland, died Saturday, October 25, 2014 at Carolyn Croxton Slane Residence, service of Hospice of Central PA.
Eleanor was a retired dental assistant from the Practice of Mark Cackovic, DDS and former co-owner, with her husband, of West Shore Hardware. Most recently she was a secretary at Faulkner Pontiac, Harrisburg. She attended Lycoming College where she was a member of the Traveling Choir and part of that choir's first graduating class. She was a member of Camp Hill United Methodist Church, its choir and bell choir, and the Red Hat Society at Bethany Towers. Beloved wife, mother, sister, aunt and grandmother, Eleanor cherished time with her family and was able to combine her devotion to family with her love of baseball, cheering on her sons' and grandsons' baseball games and never forgetting her beloved Baltimore Orioles. Truly, there was no greater fan.
Eleanor was born April 4, 1928 in Rochester, NY to the late Donald K. and Lucile (Tilton) Smith. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert E. Pellman.
Eleanor is survived by four children, Tracy P. (Richard) of Harrisburg, PA, Steven C. and his partner Dennis Morgan of Donaldson, PA, Scott C. and his partner Beverly Brown of Mechanicsburg, and Jay B. (Susan) of New Cumberland; two brothers, Donald C. Smith (Billie) of Pittsford, NY and Loran R. Smith (Lyn) of Brevard, NC; six grandchildren, Jenna, Derron, Tyler, Kyle, Chad, and Cole, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, October 28 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Parthemore Funeral Home, New Cumberland. A second visitation will be held Wednesday, October 29 at 10 a.m. at Camp Hill United Methodist Church, followed by a memorial service at 11 a.m., with inurnment and reception to follow.
