Elizabeth "Betsy" Hawkins Davenny

Elizabeth “Betsy” Hawkins Davenny, 81, of Harrisburg, passed away on Thursday, January 12, 2017 in Pinnacle Health, Harrisburg.

She was a former real estate agent, school teacher and school board member. She attended St. Stephen’s Episcopal Cathedral, Harrisburg; was a Life Master Tournament Bridge player; enjoyed riding horses and was an accomplished equestrian.

Betsy was the daughter of the late Walter Drury Hawkins, MD and Elizabeth S. (Hobart) Hawkins and is survived by her children, D. Scott Davenny of Harrisburg and Susan Davenny of Camp Hill; a brother Walter D. “Dru” Hawkins, Jr. and wife Annee of North Chesterfield, VA; and two grandchildren, Jason and Jasmine.

Funeral services will be held at 2 pm on Friday, January 20, 2017 in Parthemore Funeral Home & Cremation Services, New Cumberland. Visitation will be one half hour prior to services in the funeral home. Burial will be in Rolling Green Cemetery, Lower Allen Twp.
