Elizabeth Deene (Smerker) Prowell, 85, of Camp Hill, formerly of Marble, PA died Sunday, September 15, 2019 at UPMC Pinnacle Harrisburg Hospital.
She was retired from Blue Shield. She was a Pittsburgh Pirate and Steelers fan. She enjoyed bowling, bingo, golf, visiting casinos, and, especially, time with her family.
She was born December 20, 1933 in Clarion to the late Laurence and Catherine (Thompson) Smerker. She was preceded in death by her husband Elzie George Prowell, Jr. and brother Don Smerker.
She is survived by a daughter, Ann Marie Alexander (Jim) of Etters; son, Kevin Prowell (Kimberly) of Parkville, MD; siblings, Barb Heasley of Erie, Peg Weaver of Marble, Mary-Ellen Hopkins of Camp Hill, Laurence Smerker of Marble, Jeanne Snyder of Duke Center, Dennis and Jim Smerker of Marble, Paul Smerker of Vero Beach, FL and Joseph M. Smerker of Erie; two grandsons, Marcus Lynch (Taryn) and Connor Prowell; and a great-grandson, Wyatt Lynch.
Committal services will be held at 10:30am Friday at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, East Hanover Twp.
