Elizabeth J. "Betty" Triano

Elizabeth J. “Betty” Triano, 89, of Messiah Lifeways, Mechanicsburg, and formerly of New Cumberland, died Friday, September 25, 2020, at Penn State Hershey Medical Center.

A retired Registered Nurse from Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, she was also a Docent at the Governor’s Mansion, a Diabetic Counselor, Brownie Troop Leader, and a member of the Messiah Village Lifeways Welcoming Committee.

She was born April 2, 1931, in Kingston, PA, to the late James and Mary (Vohar) Eslick. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Gene J. Triano, MD FACR; daughters, Elise A. and Nancy L. Triano; and siblings, James and Robert Eslick, and Mary Lou Schnappauf.

She is survived by three daughters, Karen T. Golin (Francisco Hernandez, Jr.) of Hummelstown, Diane T. Cerminara (Robert) of Hummelstown, and Joan C. Triano of Basking Ridge, NJ; son-in-law, David Dawson of Hopatcong, NJ; five grandchildren, Morgan, Dominic, Victoria, Gennaro and Elizabeth; and several nieces and nephews.

Viewing, with masks and social distancing, will be from 11AM until 1PM, Saturday, October 3rd, at Parthemore Funeral Home, New Cumberland. A private committal will take place.

Betty was a loving and fun mother and grandmother, a longstanding member of several bridge clubs and an avid tennis player. Her greatest wish in life was to see her children and grandchildren happy.
