Elvira Hudson

Elvira "Mickey" Hudson (nee Hindman), 94, passed away on July 20, 2024, at UPMC Community Osteopathic Hospital. Born December 19, 1929, in Buffalo, NY, she spent her early years there before her family moved to Baltimore, MD, where she spent her school-aged years and graduated from Western High School.

Mickey dedicated her life to her family, fulfilling the role of a homemaker with unwavering commitment and love. Her life was a testament to the bonds of family, always ensuring that her actions and decisions revolved around their well-being.

She is survived by her three daughters, Barb Wagaman (Tom), Pat Snively, and Joyce O'Donnell (Doug), and one son, Rob Hudson (Jackie Hossler). Her legacy extends through her 11 grandchildren, along with 20 (soon to be 21) great-grandchildren and six (soon to be seven) great-great-grandchildren. Mickey was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Bill Hudson, her parents James and Elvira (Schleuning) Hindman, and a granddaughter Julie (Wagaman) Burger.

A former member of the Camp Hill United Methodist Church, Mickey's faith was an important aspect of her life, providing her with strength and community. Mickey's life was a beautiful reflection of her devotion to her family and friends, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

A viewing will be held at Parthemore Funeral Home from 10:30am to 12:30pm on Friday, July 26, 2024. A funeral service will follow immediately after the viewing. Burial will take place at Rolling Green Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Central PA.
