Emily Kay Turner

Emily Kay Turner, of Carlisle, died Wednesday, August 28, 2019, at the age of 24. The daughter of Mark R. Turner and Briana K. Taylor, she was born on November 2, 1994, in Harrisburg.

Emily was born and raised in Etters; she was currently living in Carlisle, where she worked in the inventory department at Distribution Management. Her daughter, Olivia, was her world. She was an extremely attentive and loving mother, and she lived vicariously through Olivia’s innocence and youthful joy. Emily was gifted musically, picking up the violin, piano and even trumpet, with relative ease. She was also quite talented in the kitchen; baking was her forte. Emily had battled opioid addiction in the past, and had been clean for over a year. Even in recovery, addiction can still seep through the cracks. Love and support those around you who are battling addiction, and cherish every moment together.

In addition to her parents, Emily is survived by her daughter, Olivia; a sister, Madelyn Turner; and her grandmothers, Janet Rafferty, Mary Jo Turner, and Connie Taylor. She was preceded in death by her sister, Meghan Turner.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
