Ethel G. Porter

February 8, 1915 — May 3, 2015

Ethel G. Porter, 100, of Bethany Village, Mechanicsburg, formerly of Susquehanna Twp., died Sunday, May 3, 2015 at the Village.
She was a retired teacher from Progress Elementary School, having taught for twenty-three years. She graduated from the former Millersville State Teachers College. She enjoyed traveling with her husband and flower gardening.
She was born February 8, 1915 in Indiana, PA to the late Dorsey W. and Alverna (Heinemeyer) Custer. She was the widow of Paul E. Porter.
She is survived by two daughters, Pauline L. Anglin (Richard) of Harrisburg and Jean P. Morris (James) of Seattle, WA; five grandchildren, Sean, Christopher, and Timothy Anglin, James P. Morris, and Allison Morris-Byrd-Leitner; and ten great-grandchildren, Tyler, Samantha, Colin, Madilyn, Michaela, Mason, Samuel, Porter, Charles, and Hannah.
Visitation will be from 1pm until funeral services at 2pm Thursday at Bethany Village Community Room, 325 Wesley Dr., Mechanicsburg. Private burial will follow in Rolling Green Cemetery, Lower Allen Twp.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are requested to Camp Hill United Methodist Church, 417 S. 22nd Street, Camp Hill, Pa 17011 or to Bethany Care Assurance Fund, 325 Wesley Drive, Mechanicsburg, Pa 17055.
