Evangelia C. Bakagios

Evangelia C. Bakagios, 86, of Mechanicsburg, passed away on Sunday, November 20, 2022 in her residence surrounded by her loving family.

She was a seamstress by trade and ran her own business for more than 40 years. Evangelia enjoyed staying active through calisthenics, daily walks and gardening. Immigrating from post-war Greece in 1958, Evangelia realized her American Dream. Evangelia provided love, compassion, and guidance to her family.

Evangelia was born in Kastraki, Greece, the daughter of the late Anthony and Efthemea Tzelios.

She is survived by her sons, William C. Bakagios of Kernersville, NC and Anthony A. Bakagios of Mechanicsburg; two sisters, Maria and Thespa, both of Australia; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In keeping with Evangelia’s wishes there will be no services.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests memorial contributions in Evangelia’s memory to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 897 Hershey, PA 17033.
