Evelyn R. Marshall

Evelyn R. Marshall, 88, of New Cumberland, passed away on Sunday, March 17, 2024 in her residence.

She was a retired waitress with the West Shore Diner, Lemoyne and a graduate of Mechanicsburg Area High School.  Evelyn was an avid bird watcher and enjoyed tending to her flowers and flower beds in the yard.  She loved all animals; especially her pets.  If Evelyn liked you - you were special.  She usually kept to herself and didn’t have a lot to say, but at other times, she could be cantankerous and feisty.

Evelyn was born in Harrisburg, the daughter of the late Raymond and Florence (Rodgers) Baer.  In addition to her parents preceding her in death, she was the widow of James G. Marshall and was preceded by a son William, a grandson Gregg and her son-in-law Michael.

She is survived by her daughter Sheree R. Flasser of New Cumberland; siblings, Betty Nesi of Etters, PA, Ray Baer of Middletown, PA and Sandy Blodgett of Manchester, PA; two nieces and a nephew; Sheree’s mother-in-law Helen Flasser; Sheree’s sister-in-law and brother in law, Kathy and Patrick Reilley; and Sheree’s two dear friends, Dan and Janet Diaz.

A graveside funeral service will be held at 2 pm on Thursday, March 21, 2023 in Rolling Green Cemetery, Lower Allen Twp., PA.   There will be no viewing or visitation.
