Fae Elisabeth Appleby

November 23, 1929 — October 7, 2017

Fae Elisabeth Appleby, 87, of Palmyra, formerly of Mechanicsburg died Saturday, October 7, 2017 at Londonderry Village of Palmyra.

She retired as Branch Office Administrator from the former Harris Savings Bank. She was a member of Messiah Lutheran Church of Lebanon. She served for twelve years as Vice President of Lower Susquehanna Synod of the ELCA. Previously she was a member and served as Secretary of St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church, New Cumberland.

She was born November 23, 1929 in Spring Township to the late Paul Garber and Olive Katherine (Reeder) Dum. She was also preceded in death by her husband, John W. Appleby, Sr.; two brothers, Kenneth E. and Stanley J. Dum; and sister, Joyce A. Dum.

She is survived by a daughter, Kathaleen Fae Lilley (The Rev. Rodney); son, John W. Appleby, Jr. (Barbara); and three grandsons, Justin Dale Lilley, Thomas Joshua Lilley, and Benjamin M. Appleby.

Visitation will be from 9:30am until memorial services at 11am Saturday, November 25th at Messiah Lutheran Church, Lebanon. Private interment took place in Rolling Green Cemetery, Lower Allen Twp.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are requested to Messiah Lutheran Church, 1800 Oak St., Lebanon, PA 17042 or Hospice of Central PA, 1320 Linglestown Road, Harrisburg, PA 17110.
