Fawn G. Fitting, 88, of Enola, formerly of New Cumberland and Port Charlotte, FL died Sunday, September 14, 2014 at Holy Spirit Hospital.
She worked as a clerk for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. She was a member of New Cumberland First Church of God, American Legion Auxiliary Unit 110, Port Charlotte, VFW Post 7415, New Cumberland, and PPL Live Wires. She enjoyed gardening, ceramics, John Wayne movies and loved spending time with her family.
She was born October 29, 1925 in Harrisburg to the late George E. and Violet V. (McLaughlin) Heilner. She was the widow of Charles A. Fitting, Jr. and was preceded in death by her siblings: Myrtle, Walter, George Jr., Naomi, Earl, Warren, Violet, and Wilbur along with her son-in-law Donald Frank.
She is survived by three daughters: Fawn C. Ross (Donald) of Enola, Barbara K. Frank of Port Charlotte, and Margaret D. Glusco (Terry) of York; a brother, Gerald Heilner (Nancy) of Elizabethtown; a sister, Fay McClintock of Summerdale; three grandchildren, Donald, Andrea, and Angie; and five great grandchildren, James, Cameron, Lauren, Alyssa, and Aidan; and numerous nephews and nieces.
Viewing will be from 6 to 8pm Wednesday at Parthemore Funeral Home, New Cumberland.
Funeral services will be held at 11am Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Rolling Green Cemetery, Lower Allen Twp.
