Florina M. (Marte) Stambaugh

Florina M. (Marte) Stambaugh, 80, of Lewisberry, died Thursday, December 13, 2018, at home. She is now reunited with her husband, Ronald, who passed just nine days prior. They shared the sentiment that although “some call it chaos, we call it family.”

Flo was born on April 24, 1938, in Harrisburg, to the late Salvatore and Francesca (Stilo) Marte. She co-owned and operated two restaurants, Numero Uno in Mt. Wolf and Kings Arms in Goldsboro, with her husband, Ronald. She also held several jobs in retail sales throughout the years. On Tuesday nights, you would likely find her at St. Theresa’s Bingo night; Pitt football games were Saturday’s entertainment. In between, she enjoyed hitting the slots at Hollywood Casino and treating her family to prizes and trips to Las Vegas, thanks to her lucky (and frequent) pulls. Above all else in Florina’s life, family always came first.

She is survived by her son, Stephen L. Stambaugh (Kolene) of New Cumberland; two daughters, Rhonda J. Hocker (David) and Stephanie M. Chapman, both of York Haven; five grandchildren, Chawne, Francesca, Veronica, Stephen, and Cole; a great-granddaughter, Milena; and siblings, Francesca Roberto, Angelina Divel, Salvatore Marte, Feliciana Donley and Gildo Marte. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald E. Stambaugh; a brother, Francisco Marte; and two sisters, Anna Shultz and Dominica Gentile Pease.

A visitation will be held from 6-8PM, Tuesday, December 18, 2018, at Parthemore Funeral Home & Cremation Services, New Cumberland. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10AM on Wednesday, December 19, at Holy Infant Catholic Church, Manchester. Burial will immediately follow mass at Holy Saviour Cemetery, York.
