Frances E. Yohe, 94, of Centre Hall and formerly of Dillsburg and Lemoyne passed away peacefully at home on May 20, 2015.
Born September 30, 1920 in New Oxford, she was the only child of the late Odessa Wiley (Keckley) and Henry R. Bly. She was predeceased by her husband of forty years, Ray Yohe.
Fran is survived by a cousin, Blaine Keckley of Circleville, OH.
She graduated from Gettysburg High School in 1938. After high school, she obtained her beauty license and opened her own shop. She later worked for the Pennsylvania Insurance Department. Fran spent most of her career working for the Pennsylvania Farmers Association, now Pennsylvania Farm Bureau. She retired in 1985 after thirty-five years of service. Fran was liked by all and well respected. Fran was a regular attendee of Baughman Memorial United Methodist Church in New Cumberland. She was a kind person who saw the good in everyone and the positive in life. Fran was a lover of cats. She never met a cat she didn’t like. Over her lifetime she cared for many of her feline friends who made their way to her door. She will be missed by her many friends and adoptive family.
Visitation will be from 10am until funeral services at 11am Tuesday at Parthemore Funeral Home, New Cumberland. The Rev. Robert Graybill will officiate. Burial will be in Dillsburg Cemetery.
