Francis B. “Frank” Mattos, 84, previously of Camp Hill, died Saturday, June 21, 2014 at Chapel Pointe in Carlisle.
He was a Navy Veteran of the Korean War. He was a retired Sound & Communication Specialist from Milton H. Eshelman Co., Harrisburg. After retirement he worked part time for REMCO, Inc., Mechanicsburg. He was a member of St. Joseph Parish, Mechanicsburg. He enjoyed bowling and devoted his life to his family.
He was born August 28, 1929 in Lehigh County to the late Antonio J. and Nellie K. (Poltorak) Mattos. He was also preceded in death by his wife Sally Ann, daughter, Lisa Mattos Brudowsky, and six brothers, Anthony, John, Joseph, Arthur, Charles, and James.
He is survived by four sons, Francis (Diana) of Manheim, Stephen (Britney) of Sandy Ridge, NC, Edward (Julie) of Dillsburg and John (Hope) of Shiremanstown; two daughters, Kathleen Ferrara (James) of Devon, and Denise Mattos of Mt. Joy; a brother, Thomas of CO; a close nephew Michael Travis (Denise) of Camp Hill, several other nephews and nieces; eighteen grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 8pm Tuesday at Parthemore Funeral Home, New Cumberland.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30am Wednesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Mechanicsburg. Burial will follow in Rolling Green Cemetery, Lower Allen Twp.
