Frank Dean Kunkel

Frank Dean Kunkel, Jr. 82 of Newport died Sunday, November 29, 2015 at his home.
He was a retired Supply System Analyst from the former New Cumberland Army Depot. He also retired from the Air National Guard from the former Olmstead Air Force Base. He was a member of VFW Post 148, Lower Paxton Twp. and American Legion Post 143, New Cumberland. He was an avid Hershey Bears Hockey Fan.
He was born June 5, 1933 in Harrisburg to the late Frank D. and Bernita E. (Shreiner) Kunkel, Sr. He was the widower of Joan Marie (Brennan) Kunkel and also proceeded in death by a sister, Beverly R. Fuller.
He is survived by three daughters, Theresa A. Signor (Barry L.) of Newport, Beverly M. Katzman (Joseph R.) of New Cumberland, and Kelly R. Burhans (Timothy S.) of Harrisburg; a brother, Gary R. Kunkel of South Carolina; and four grandchildren, Marissa, Brittany, Troy, and Timothy.
Viewing will be from 5 to 7pm Thursday at Parthemore Funeral Home, New Cumberland. Funeral services will be held at 10:30am Friday at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Lower Paxton Twp.
