Francis J. Donlevy, 92, of New Cumberland, died Friday, March 9, 2018, at Claremont Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Middlesex Twp.
He retired as a Taxing Officer Supervisor for the Commonwealth of PA, Dept. of Revenue, Harrisburg; a life member of Knights of Columbus, Holy Rosary Council 869, Harrisburg; a member of St. Theresa Roman Catholic Church, New Cumberland; a member of the Loyal Order of Water Buffalos.
As an avid baseball player, Frank continued his love of sports by coaching little league baseball and midget football. Born on August 17, 1925, in Lost Creek, Schuylkill County, he was the son of the late Frank J. and Helen (Hanley) Donlevy. He was the widower of Rosemary D. (McDonald) Donlevy. Frank was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather.
Surviving are five sons, Francis J. (Deborah) of Mechanicsburg, Robert J. (Vivian) of Lewisberry, John T. of New Cumberland, Kevin F. (Patricia) of Hinsdale, IL, and Patrick J. of New Cumberland; three daughters and their husbands, Rosemary D. and David Cox of Camp Hill, Elaine R. and Keith Siemon of Elizabethtown, and Maureen A. and Scott Smith of New Cumberland; two sisters, Helen Ann Kelly (Thomas) of Pottstown, and Trudy Dougherty of Mountain Top; nine grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 AM on Thursday at St. Theresa Catholic Church, New Cumberland, with the Rev. Michael McFadden as Celebrant. Burial will be in Rolling Green Memorial Park, Lower Allen Twp.
Viewing will be held 5 – 7 PM Wednesday at Parthemore Funeral Home and Cremation Services, New Cumberland.
