Frank Joseph Deutsch, 95, of New Cumberland, passed away on Thursday, June 29, 2017 in Manor Care, Camp Hill.
He retired as a Sergeant with more than 20 years of service from the U.S. Army and served during WWII; he also retired as a police officer from the Commonwealth of PA Capitol Police; was a member of St. Theresa Catholic Church, New Cumberland; and an avid Philadelphia Phillies fan.
Frank was born in Lehigh County, PA to the late Joseph and Aloysia (Berkovics) Deutsch. In addition to his parents, Frank was preceded in death by his wife of more than 64 years, Emma Reel (McLaren) Deutsch and a son Frank J. Deutsch.
He is survived by a son David R. Deutsch of New Cumberland; two daughters, Mary M. Shope of Etters and Amy A. Thompson of Annapolis, MD; five grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 am on Thursday, July 6, 2017 in St. Theresa Catholic Church, 1300 Bridge St. New Cumberland. Viewing will be from 9:30-10:30 am July 6th in Parthemore Funeral Home & Cremation Services, New Cumberland. Burial with military honors will be in Rolling Green Cemetery, Lower Allen Twp.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests memorial contributions be made in Frank’s memory to PA Wounded Warriors, Inc. 1117 Country Club Road, Camp Hill, PA 17011.
