Frank S. Hughes

Frank S. Hughes, Sr., of Fairview Twp., New Cumberland, died Thursday, October 6, 2016, at Penn State Health, Derry Twp.
He was the owner/operator of Frank S. Hughes Construction, Dover; a former member of the U.S. Army Reserves with seven years of service; a member of Lowther Manor Lodge No. 781, F. & A.M., Marysville and Harrisburg Consistory. He enjoyed auto racing and in his later years, fishing. Born on October 31, 1942, he was the son of Pauline Troup Hughes of Dover and the late Walter R. Hughes Sr. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Gary L. Hughes, Sr.
In addition to his mother, surviving are wife of nearly 50 years, B. Joy (Taylor) Hughes; three sons, Frank S. Hughes, Jr. (Michele) of Lawrenceville, Gregory A. Hughes (Michele) of Etters, and Aaron D. Hughes (Fallon) of Etters; a brother, Walter R. Hughes, Jr. of Dover; eight grandchildren, Desiree, Randi, Shania, Brelle, Brody, Aidan, Layken and Collins; three great grandchildren, Gabriel, Loghan and Sawyer.
Funeral services will be held at 11 AM on Tuesday at Parthemore Funeral Home and Cremation Services, New Cumberland, with Pastor Andrew J. Grate officiating. Burial will be in Tri-County Memorial Gardens, Newberry Twp. Viewing will be held one hour prior to services in the funeral home.
