Fred W. Trout, 85, of Camp Hill, passed away on Thursday, April 1, 2021 in Penn State Health Holy Spirit Medical Center, East Pennsboro Twp.
He was a retired plumber with G.R. Sponaugle & Sons, Chambers Hill where he was a past recipient of the Craftsmanship of the Year Award and was a member of Plumbers and Pipe Fitters Local 520. Fred was a graduate of New Cumberland High School Class of 1953 and a member of Lisburn Church of God. He enjoyed hunting, crossword puzzles and Blue Grass and Gospel music. But most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family. He was a loving husband, father and “Pap” and would always go out of his way to help other people.
Fred was born in Fairview Twp. to the late William and Clara (Hollinger) Trout. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother and two sisters, Glenn Trout, Beulah Eppley and Virginia Diller.
He is survived by his wife of more than 65 years, Darlene M. (Orris) Trout; children, Debra K. Chanda of Carlisle and Fred W. Trout, Jr. of Colonial Park; his granddaughter Jamie L. Chanda of Seminole, FL; and his great granddaughter Perri E. Chanda of East Earl, PA.
Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Wednesday, April 7, 2021 in Lisburn Church of God, 1621 Main St. Lisburn Mechanicsburg, PA 17055. Viewings will be from 5-7 pm Tuesday in Parthemore Funeral Home & Cremation Services, New Cumberland and 10-11 am Wednesday in the church. Burial will be in Fairview Bethel Cemetery, Fairview Twp.
